I’m Stefanie Gartmann – a cinematographer (DOP/DP) based in Germany, working internationally across film, commercial, and artistic projects. Depending on the production, I work as a director of photography, directing DOP, or camera operator.

I studied cinematography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, where I developed a deep passion for visual storytelling and the art of capturing emotion through movement and light.

Equipped with the Arri Alexa Mini LF, one of the most sought-after digital cinema cameras in the industry, I offer productions the convenience of booking both DOP and camera in one. This saves time, budget, and coordination effort – while ensuring cinematic image quality trusted by high-end productions worldwide.

Collaboration is at the heart of my process. Working closely with directors, actors, producers, creatives, and agencies, I always aim to create an honest connection with the people in front of the lens. A strong sense for what actors and real people need to feel authentic and at ease on set is key to my approach.
